Introduction
Welcome to Oral-Facial Advantage | Myofunctional Therapy. By accessing our website, booking appointments, or using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms of Service. Please review these terms carefully. If you do not agree with these terms, you should not use our website or services.
Services
Oral-Facial Advantage | Myofunctional Therapy provides Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy services designed to support oral-facial function, nasal breathing, oral habits, swallowing patterns, jaw comfort, and related muscle function.
Our services are provided by trained professionals who strive to maintain a high standard of care.
Appointments and Scheduling
Appointments must be scheduled in advance.
Appointments are booked by appointment type, not by exact time used. Each appointment is scheduled for an estimated block of time; however, the length of an appointment may vary depending on patient needs, clinical discussion, cooperation, or the nature of the appointment.
Fees are charged by appointment type, not by the exact number of minutes used. No refund or fee reduction is provided if an appointment ends earlier than the estimated booking time.
Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you. We kindly ask that you provide at least 72 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.
Oral-Facial Advantage is not a walk-in clinic. Our appointments are scheduled in advance and are reserved for each patient’s specific therapy needs. When appointments are changed or cancelled on short notice, it can be difficult to offer that time to another patient, even when other patients are waiting for care.
Frequent cancellations, frequent rescheduling, late cancellations, and missed appointments are disruptive to our clinic schedule and may affect continuity of care.
Appointments changed or cancelled within 72 hours may be subject to a $50 late-cancellation fee.
Same-day cancellations and missed appointments may be billed at the full appointment fee.
We understand that unexpected situations can happen, and we will always do our best to be fair and reasonable. Repeated cancellations, repeated rescheduling, late cancellations, or missed appointments may result in the requirement for pre-payment, a credit card on file, or the decision not to schedule further appointments.
Credit Card on File and Pre-Payment
We reserve the right to require pre-payment or a valid credit card on file through our encrypted booking software, Jane App.
In the case of a late cancellation, same-day cancellation, missed appointment, or cancellation without proper notice, we reserve the right to charge the applicable late-cancellation fee or full missed appointment fee.
Payment
Payment for services is due at the time of the appointment unless other arrangements have been made in advance.
We accept various forms of payment, including credit card, debit card, e-transfer, and cash.
All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise specified.
Privacy and Confidentiality
We are committed to protecting your privacy. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for detailed information about how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information.
Your personal information will only be used within Oral-Facial Advantage | Myofunctional Therapy for the purpose of providing therapy services, booking appointments, clinic communication, billing, and related administrative needs. Any other use will require your consent where required.
Limitation of Liability
While we strive to provide high-quality care, Oral-Facial Advantage | Myofunctional Therapy does not guarantee specific outcomes from therapy services.
Oral-Facial Advantage | Myofunctional Therapy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of our website or services.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Any changes will be posted on our website. Your continued use of our website or services after changes have been posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Ontario, Canada.
